There is a remoteness about Antarctica, be it natural beauty or man-made. The whaling station and barrels, relics of man’s 19th & early 20th century industry, have a voice. These objects stand testament to a past era. They’d have disintegrated in the hostile, polluted atmosphere of our industrial world. Their longevity boasts the purity of the Antarctic atmosphere where they remain with decaying authority.
